Getting Digital Done
I'm a visionary and pioneer, going wherever I'm needed to get work done. On more than one occasion, I've helped start-ups, friends, and family get started online. It's amazing what you can do with a $10 domain name! I'm not a developer or designer, but with the help of WordPress, Blogger, Drupal, Google Analytics, and a wide range of templates and public tools I enjoy demonstrating the power of digital.

Social Media & Mobile Innovation
As a Digital Strategist, I have a lot of fun with new media at TIAA-CREF, a Fortune 100 financial services company. I'm the guy who's piloting ideas the company will fund in a year or two. I'm a thought leader and subject matter expert in the mobile and social media spaces. I lead the mobile program which includes apps and websites, and I've played a key role introducing Facebook apps, pages, and Twitter feeds.
Digital Marketing extends well beyond the social space. I've also defined digital centers of excellence to highlight the sweet spot where customer needs, business strategy, and technology come together.

Interactive Online Tools
At Fidelity Investments, I refined my product development and product management skills. I learned the art of retirement planning, and the science of executing it as a novel and scalable online experience. Working with brilliant partners, I translated a printed workbook to an online seminar, a simple calculator, a content rich website, and ultimately Fidelity's acclaimed Retirement Income Planner software. I knew the competition inside and out, and I knew my product even better. From building, to testing, to training and communicating, I am a extremely proud of my role in bringing this product to market.

Digital Native
Understanding technology comes naturally to me. I built my first computer, the Sinclair ZX81, with my father long before I could drive. As an undergrad studying computer engineering, I used more than a dozen programming languages. I've created, managed, and supported networks, telephony, ERP systems, and technology vendors. I've led large software development projects as a business sponsor, and VP of technology.
I understand what it takes to make the web a beautiful place, and I know how to work with engineers to get there. Clear communication, mutual respect, and trust are key factors for maintaining lean and innovative technology solutions.
